Stock Control…

Accurate stock control is the main benefit of EPOS (electronic point of sale). it helps you to reduce stock levels by maintaining up to date stock information.
This is good on its own, but what tends to get overlooked is that the resulting information can also be used to increase profitability. By identifying slow and
fast moving items and pricing them accordingly, you can trim your prices to make the best of prevailing trading conditions. For instance, if an item is flying
off the shelves, add a few pence to the price. At the same time, slower-moving items may be over-priced, and you can adjust them accordingly. The key is
to base your decisions on facts rather than guesswork, that’s were ‘Stock Statistics’ on our EPOS Software can help.

Purchase Control…

The same can be said for managing your supplier relationships. Through accurately monitoring your sales activities and stock movements you can take
control of your purchasing through re-order lists for the products you really need, with the supplier’s name, reorder level, full stock level, amount needed
and the cost all there for you in an easy to read report.

Monitor your staff performance…

If you are an employer, of non-family members in particular, then being able to monitor staff performance can pay significant dividends. You can give each employee a username and password (you can even use a login cards for faster login) so each transaction is registered to their username. Our system also
logs when the cash drawer has been opened without a transaction being made, this is reported as a ‘NO SALE’. We also have a system in place to make
sure cashing up at the end of the day is as secure as possible.

Time Saving…

Although saving time is another frequently touted EPOS benefit, the impact depends on a number of factors. If your goods are already bar-coded, you don’t
need to price each item individually. And of course you also save time at checkout, because bar code scanning is faster and less error prone than keying in
the price, you can also use on-screen buttons for products without barcodes. With a comprehensive reporting facility at your fingertips you will undoubtedly
save time in producing detailed reports, and reduce paperwork.

Payment Handling…

As with all tills, EPOS systems can take Cash and Cheque payments, however EPOS comes into its own with integrated Chip and Pin payments, allowing accurate input of amount with no keying errors and lower monthly costs compared to a bank provided stand alone unit. Using the inbuilt custom payment
method, we can interface with external payment handling services, such as Pre-Payment or Gift Voucher systems.

Can i use a home PC, rather than an EPOS unit?…

The reason home PC’s our not recommended for use as an EPOS terminal, is becuase home PC’s are not designed to be on, all day, everyday, purposely designed EPOS units are built with high quality, robust parts, fans and more vents to allow more air to circulate in the system and stop the unit from over
heating, the units are designed to be used for longe periods of time, all day, everyday. In mostcases you will find if you use a home PC as an EPOS terminal
that under heavy and prolonged use their parts are likely to fail more quickly.
